In early 2022, the Chicago Bears hired a new head coach. Matt Eberflus, previously the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, has a philosophy that he instills in all his teams.
The HITS Principal is an acronym for “Hustle, Intensity, Taking care of the ball and (playing) Smart.” It’s not difficult, but it’s extremely hard. The goal is creating an effort-based team with accountability, where everything is measured. And the byproduct of the principal is more wins.
